Operation Toofan 2.0
Operation Toofan 2.0 is an anti-drug campaign jointly implemented by the Kerala Police and the Local Self-Government Department (LSGD) with extensive public participation to completely curb the spread and use of drugs in the state.
While in the first phase the police focused on breaking drug supply networks and freezing the financial resources of the mafias, the second phase aims to extend anti-drug operations to every ward and household by coordinating the law enforcement powers of the police and the grassroots of local institutions. It emphasizes demand reduction, early intervention, treatment and rehabilitation.
