As part of the second phase of 'Operation Toofan'—an anti-drug initiative implemented by the State Government—the panchayat-level inauguration of 'Operation Toofan 2.0' was held on September 28, 2026, at 11:30 AM in the Grama Panchayat Hall. The meeting was presided over by the honorable Panchayat Vice President, Shri P. Gangadharan. Grama Panchayat Secretary Shri Pranav K.K. delivered the welcome address, and the honorable Panchayat President, Smt. Preetha K., inaugurated the event. In the distinguished presence of Shri Vijayan C., Sub-Inspector (SI) of Peringom Police Station, Civil Excise Officer Smt. Juna T.V. conducted an anti-drug awareness session.
Felicitations were offered by Smt. Bindu K.K. (Chairperson, Development Standing Committee), Shri Baburaj M.P. (Chairman, Welfare Standing Committee), and Smt. Shaima A.V. (Chairperson, Health and Education Standing Committee). The 'Toofan' flag was hoisted under the leadership of the honorable President, and the 'Toofan' pledge was administered by Head Clerk Shri Dileep K.P. Honorable SI Shri Vijayan C. distributed badges to the 'Toofan Warriors.' Shri Abdul Rahiman C.M.K., Assistant Secretary and 'Toofan' Nodal Officer, delivered the vote of thanks.
